Here are a few pictures from the last few weeks....
The highs of the last few weeks were:
-the Swiss National Holiday which included a village wide Brunch, a bike ride with the kids, grilling out with friends and playing games in the evening
- being able to go to the pool again...it is warm enough for the girls, although, still too cold for me and Jordan
- Dani and I went to see a movie outside (openair kino is what it is called). It is like a drive-in without the car :-).
Low Point:
-being sick (today I am in bed with a breast infection, which is similar to the flu). Good news is that it should not last that long.
I wanted to share a quick story that I thought you guys would understand :-):
Last Saturday, as I was picking blueberries in the rain, our new neighbor stopped to say hi. He is about 22 and just moved back to Switzerland (with his family) after living about 12 years in California. As I said, it was raining, so he had jogging pants on and a big hoddy with the hood on...maybe even flip flops, you get the picture. Dani and the girls drive by in the car and I notice he slows down to see who I am talking to. I think to myself, umm maybe he is wondering about this guy...a bit jealous prehaps? He sends me a text message asking who the guy was. I wrote back that it was the Swiss/American and added that he looked quite American. Later when Dani was home he said he was worried the guy was homeless and wanting money from me! No, he was not jealous (which I rarely know him to be), but worried because a young guy looked like a typical American and was in a small Swiss neighborhood.
Hope you can picture this story :-).

What cuties! Glad that Swiss/American didn't take all your money or try to seduce you, Kristy. ;)
ReplyDeleteSo sorry about the breast infection. I hope you are well now.
love you all!
Sue
Hi Kristy! I just saw the blog today. I liked seeing the picture of little Jordan and the girls.
ReplyDeleteCute!
Good to hear the news and what you're up to. I'm so sorry I missed your call today. Wade and Sue were away but I was here. I thought they were here. I hope you will call tomorrow.
I trust your infection is better. We pray it is.
love you, Grandma
Americans outside of America: We usually look homeless.
