Luke is right that our holiday will be quite the family reunion. My mum has 4 siblings who have various spouses and children, and then there are a pile of cousins around too.We're staying in a small, pretty town called Killarney, close to where my mum grew up. It's funny to think of my New York grandma finding herself in this very rural area. No shops to buy the things she liked!
The latest news on our house is that on Monday we will sign the paperwork to apply for the mortgage and then Friday is the home inspection. Hopefully the inspector won't find any bugs or critters or mold to slow down the process!
Today everyone in the neighborhood is excited about an event taking place tonight, called Speaking Of. It's the one Samm's brother, Phin organizes. There will musicians and dancers and poets. I think Sue is coming in to babysit MaryLou so that Kathryn & Samm are able to go. It's a lot of fun, especially because everyone gets a bit dressed up in dresses and suits.
I hope you've recovered from the surprise of yesterday, Alice. We were so very glad to be able to spend some time with you.
